The bf and I went out to a nice dinner at Flemming's. He wore his fancy suit and I wore a simple dress.
We had a nice time, but I know Flemming's doesn't compare to Perry's Steakhouse!!
The food was good, but Perry's seems to have more of the flavors we both enjoy.
Outfit:
Lace maroon Dress- Kohls
Black Tights
Black pumps- Payless
Elastic waist belt- Kohls
Necklace- Chaps (Kohls)
Bracelet- Old Navy
Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day!

Vintage Frame
Remember that frame I hot glued paper flowers to?
My bff gave me a great idea to spray paint a simple frame a bright color and sandpaper the paint off to give it a vintage look. The ones she made looked so good! She let me borrow the spray paint and try it myself :) (Thanks girl!!)
I took the flowers off the frame, spray painted it, and let it sit out in the sun to dry.
Once it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and scratched certain areas to make it look like old paint.
Lastly, I hot glued the flowers back on.
Here is the finished look:
(FYI: I blurred the picture I have inside the frame :P)

Miss Crafty
Took a trip to Michaels and Hobby Lobby for some cute craft ideas. I have been wanting some faux ranunculus flowers to put in a mason jar. My mom had a mason jar, so I saved a few cents there :)
I trimmed the stems and placed them nicely in the jar. I love the bright spring colors and the shape of the petals. These are from the "fresh picked" collection at Hobby Lobby. I had to get a soft pink, light peach and a white to mix them up a little. Definitely adds a nice chic touch to my desk :)
I bought the small frame (happened to be in my favorite teal color) at Michaels and picked up a small tube of chalkboard paint ($1.19). I color the inside of the frame (popped out the plastic film cover) and use it as a cute little chalkboard!
I bought a few other things too.
I wanted to make something cute for the ol' boyfriend for Valentine's day so I am currently working on a nice craft using mod podge and canvas....
I'll post pics soon.

Turkey Meatballs
Ingredients:
Ground lean turkey meat (1 roll)
1 egg
2 garlic cloves
chopped parsley
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup bread crumbs (italian)
1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
dash of salt/pepper
Sauce:
Spaghetti sauce packet
tomato sauce
chopped parsley
fresh leaf spinach
1/4 cup drained pasta water
Mix all the meatball ingredients together and form into balls. I suggest cooking these on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper to reduce sticking.
Cook in oven for about 8 minutes at 400. Then flip the meatballs and cook another 5 minutes.
They can be cooked a little less if you plan to add them to the sauce for a bit.
Make sure they are cooked through and not pink!!!
After they are fully cooked, add them to the sauce and let sit in the marinade until ready to serve over pasta.
Top with shredded parmesan!
ENJOY!!

Quesadillas
My best friend introduced me to a quesadilla maker and so I ended up buying one too!
Yes, yes, they can be made without one, but I thought it was neat and fast.
Recipe:
Shredded chicken
Lime
Taco seasoning (I made my own)
Pepper Jack cheese slice
Shredded Mexican style cheese
Tortillas
Red Bell pepper
First, I put my shredded chicken tossed with my taco seasoning into a skillet with chopped up red bell pepper and a little bit of squeezed lime juice.
Then, I took a tortilla and put shredded cheese onto it. As the chicken finished warming up (my chicken was already cooked) I sprinkled the seasoned chicken and bell pepper onto the tortilla as well.
I tore a pepper jack cheese slice on the top too!
Last, I placed it in my quesadilla maker with the 2nd tortilla on top and let it cook for about 7 min.
DELICIOUS!
I dipped it in fresh guacamole.
